An employee was dismissed; she refused to play the brown-nose game

My third book has a character that shared her experience while working at a healthcare organization. Her immediate supervisor, a vice president of the healthcare organization, asked her to display the brown-nose scenario. Because she refused, she was dismissed. My personal opinion is that she would have been dismissed even if she had compromised her ethics.

Most managers will dismiss you, because they do not like you. Most managers will dismiss you, because they know they cannot control you. If managers like you, they keep you; regardless of the things you do or not do. Therefore, to compromise your ethics means to hurt yourself; No job is worth it. Do you agree or disagree?
